Overview

A provider app built as the mobile counterpart to Apka Muaalij's patient platform. Doctors can accept/reschedule bookings, start consultations, manage slots, review patient history, and receive push alerts anywhere.

The Challenge

  • Share one backend API across web and mobile without duplication.
  • Deliver reliable appointment notifications when the app is backgrounded or closed.
  • Keep video consultations stable on both iOS and Android with low latency.
  • Support offline visibility of schedules while maintaining sync integrity.

My Solution

  • Implemented role-based API consumption with shared JWT auth flow for web and app.
  • Configured Expo Notifications with FCM/APNs channels for dependable alert delivery.
  • Integrated Agora React Native SDK with in-call controls and stable media handling.
  • Used optimistic updates in RTK Query for fast slot UX with server reconciliation.
  • Added Redux Persist + AsyncStorage caching for day schedule offline access.
