Overview

A full mobile e-commerce app with catalogue browsing, product detail galleries, persistent cart, secure payment flow, order status timeline, and account purchase history.

The Challenge

• Persist cart across app restarts and merge guest/auth carts cleanly.
• Handle Stripe payments with platform-specific authentication paths.
• Render image-heavy catalogues quickly on slower connections.
• Provide live order progress updates without constant battery-intensive polling.

My Solution

• Built cart persistence with Redux Persist + AsyncStorage and server-side merge on login.
• Implemented Stripe Payment Sheet to support cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
• Used progressive image rendering patterns for faster perceived loading.
• Designed a 3-step checkout with inline validation and repeat-buyer prefills.
• Added long-polling with exponential backoff active only on tracking screens.
