Overview

A full-scale healthcare platform where patients can book in-clinic appointments, schedule video consultations, and discover doctors, hospitals, and labs from one interface. The system includes an Android app and shared API layer for web and mobile.

The Challenge

• Aggregate thousands of doctor profiles with specialty and city filtering.
• Prevent concurrent slot collisions in real-time appointment booking.
• Maintain stable video consultation quality for users on slower mobile networks.
• Scale SEO-first dynamic routes for doctor, specialty, and location combinations.

My Solution

• Implemented geospatial MongoDB indexes with route-level pre-rendering for doctor and city discovery.
• Built atomic slot locking in MongoDB to avoid double-bookings under concurrent load.
• Integrated adaptive WebRTC consultations through Agora for 3G/4G users.
• Created a WebP media pipeline and CDN-backed delivery for faster page performance.
• Shipped a React Native Android app with biometric authentication on the same backend.
