Overview

Restaurants publish interactive dish models that diners open instantly through QR. Users can rotate dishes in 3D, launch AR at true scale, and receive AI pairing suggestions while owners manage assets, plans, and analytics in a SaaS dashboard.

The Challenge

• Render high-quality 3D on average smartphones without native app installation.
• Design tenant-safe architecture across many restaurant accounts.
• Support iOS and Android AR workflows from the browser.
• Keep dashboard UX simple for non-technical restaurant operators.

My Solution

• Introduced progressive LOD for fast first render with detail streaming.
• Designed tenant-scoped data model and JWT claims for strict account isolation.
• Automated GLB to USDZ conversion for iOS AR Quick Look while supporting WebXR on Android.
• Built drag-and-drop menu management with live 3D previews before publish.
• Integrated AI recommendations for contextual upsell prompts and pairing suggestions.
